This order came from Melbourne, Australia, for a beloved Samoyed named Happy — a pure white angel who was known for his intelligence, gentleness, and loyal companionship.
During our first conversations, Happy’s family described him as “a dog just like an angel — obedient, caring, and endlessly loving.” After the birth of their first child, Happy naturally took on the role of an older brother. He would often lie beside the baby’s crib, keeping a silent watch, or play gently in the yard with his little human brother while their mother worked. To his family, Happy was never “just a pet,” but an irreplaceable member of their home.

(When Happy was little, he was a cheerful puppy with the sweetest personality.)
To capture Happy’s essence as faithfully as possible, his family sent us countless videos. The greatest challenge was not only recreating his snowy fur, but also the depth of his gaze and that unforgettable smile. Like people, every dog carries a unique soul, personality, and way of expressing love — and that is what makes each portrait so meaningful.

One of the most delicate parts of this creation was integrating strands of Happy’s real fur into the wool. After many adjustments and refinements, the piece finally came to life. When his family first saw the finished portrait, tears fell from their eyes. In that moment, we knew the artwork had done its job — not only as a piece of art, but as a vessel of comfort and remembrance.

Through this portrait, Happy’s memory and love are preserved, offering his family a way to hold onto the bond they shared. As his family beautifully reminded us: “Separation is not the end — forgetting is.”
Happy’s portrait is more than wool and thread. It is love made tangible, a memory made eternal. 🌈
